Cookie Policy
What this site stores in your browser, why, and how to switch it off.
Note for the site owner: update the analytics section to match the tools you actually install. If you add advertising or tracking cookies, you will also need a consent banner that blocks them until the visitor agrees. Last updated 12 September 2026.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for the site to work at all; others help the owner understand how the site is used. This site keeps its use of them deliberately minimal.
What this site uses
Strictly necessary
- Session cookie — set when you use the contact form. It carries the security token that prevents cross-site request forgery. Expires when you close your browser. This cannot be disabled without breaking the form.
- Appearance preference — if you choose light or dark mode, the choice is saved in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device and is not sent to us.
Analytics (only with your consent)
- Google Analytics 4 — if enabled, records pages viewed, approximate location by country, device type and referring source, so we can see which content is useful. IP addresses are anonymised. No advertising cookies are set.
What we do not use
No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking pixels, no social media trackers, no session recording, and no data sold or shared with data brokers.
Fonts and external requests
Web fonts are served from our own domain rather than a third-party font service, so viewing this site does not disclose your visit to another company.
How to control cookies
Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies. The relevant setting is usually under Privacy or Site Settings. Blocking all cookies will stop the contact form working, as the security token cannot then be verified.
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Changes
If we add or remove cookies we will update this page. See also our privacy policy for how we handle personal data more broadly, or write to hello@techandcrafts.com.
